EthrA Playtest Sign-Up

Workbench Checklist

In first playtest

Planned for later playtests

Not in the first Steam playtest

EthrA Playtest Sign-Up is the 28 July 2026 Steam news post and the live Request Access path on a separate app. The parent game is Steam app 2177510. The playtest is app 4986460, dated 9 September 2026. Discord members are prioritized for keys. The public button is Request Access on Steam. The first drop is an early combat-and-exploration prototype. Survival aspects, farming, base building, and multiplayer/co-op are not in this build even though the parent store still lists co-op among categories. The workbench checklist is the scope stamp; watch the official Join the playtest video for the motion invitation.

Request Access, then Discord

The live public path is EthrA Playtest on Steam. Press Request Access there. StoneLab's news post said Discord members are first in line for keys, and the official Discord invite is discord.com/invite/vAxrpVx3pQ. Overflow may open without a key, so a declined key is not automatically the end of the line. The playtest app payload itself has empty about-text; the parent store about-text is still the public design document for what Bob and Veil do.

Do not confuse the two app IDs. Wishlist and full-game store copy live on app 2177510. The playable prototype lives on 4986460. Japanese coverage such as Denfaminico reported the playtest independently; that does not change the Steam button. X @stonelabstudio posted that the playtest was open. Reddit's r/EthrA exists as a community pointer, not as an access gate. Keep the two Steam URLs separate when you share them: 2177510 is the coming-soon product, 4986460 is the prototype you request.

Combat and exploration are in; the rest waits

The 28 July 2026 signup post is the scope stamp. Combat fundamentals and exploration fundamentals are in. Survival aspects, farming, base building, and multiplayer/co-op are not. That is why the checklist on this page uses three stamps: in the first playtest, planned for later playtests, and not in the first Steam playtest. Farming and co-op sit in the last group because the parent store still lists them while the playtest post excludes them.

Practically: you can learn dual-character combat, Bob's implemented weapon sets, and ruin-walking tied to Monoliths. You should not expect a farm plot, a player house build, or a second human taking Veil. Later playtests can add those systems. Until a new official post says they landed, treat this prototype as a fight-and-walk slice. The Join the playtest video is the motion invitation, not a hidden patch notes file. If a later news post restamps farming or co-op as in, those checklist rows should move; until then the 28 July 2026 post is the scope stamp.

Why the store and the playtest disagree on co-op

Steam categories on the parent app list Single-player, Multi-player, Co-op, and Online Co-op, plus full controller support. The first playtest post says multiplayer/co-op is not included yet. Both statements can be true at once: the shipped product is still allowed to list modes the live prototype does not contain. This wiki records the gap instead of pretending one source overwrote the other.

If you came here to play with a friend this week, the honest answer is the checklist row: not in the first Steam playtest. If you came here to try Bob and Veil's simultaneous control, the honest answer is the other row: combat fundamentals are in. Pair this page with fishing, cooking, farming so the quieter store promises do not get mistaken for prototype features, and with the Steam release notes for the Windows-only full-game listing. Wishlist on the parent app if you want the full game; Request Access on the playtest app if you want the fight-and-walk slice this month.

Older playtest posts and merch are not this drop

Steam news also has a 20 November 2025 community post titled EthrA playtest, and two Veil plush posts that week. Those are historical. The 2025 post is not the 2026 Request Access flow. The plush going live on 24 November 2025 is merch that supports development; it is not a key. When you need the current on-ramp, use app 4986460 and the Discord invite, not a year-old embed.

StoneLab is a two-person team in official descriptions and the TechTimes launch article. That is context for why the prototype is narrow, not an excuse to invent missing systems. If the next news post adds farming or co-op to a later playtest, this checklist should be restamped. Until then, Request Access, join Discord, and expect a combat-and-exploration build. The 2025 YouTube embed in the old community post is not the 2026 Request Access button and should not be used as an on-ramp.
